Building permits are required for nearly allconstruction projects within the city limits and within the two-mile radius of the city, including:
Shingling
Siding
Windows
Doors
Non-structural interior remodeling
Mechanical projects (water heaters, furnaces, fireplaces and all fossil fuel burning appliances)
Permits are also required for the following:
Signs
Storage sheds (<200 sq.ft.)
Moving structures on city streets
Replacing public sidewalks
Demolishing structures
