The Montevideo Police Department consists of a Chief, 2 Sergeants, 7 Patrol Officers, 1 School Resources Officer and 1 full-time Administrative Assistant. The Police Department also employs a number of part-time officers to supplement patrol and 1 part-time secretary.  The Police Department currently has 1 officer who is a SWAT member with the West Central Swat team.

Police Services are provided on a 24-hour per day, year-round basis.
